29th Annual John Wayne Airport Student Art Contest Winners

MY DREAM TO FLY

Congratulations to all of the 29th Annual John Wayne Airport Student Art Contest Winners!

Students from public and private schools across Orange County had the opportunity to create exciting imagery depicting the 2018 theme "MY DREAM TO FLY."

This year's student art exhibition was on display from December 5, 2018 to January 7, 2019 at the Thomas F. Riley Terminal. Awards were given to students who placed in first, second, third and honorable mention for each grade level at the Awards and Recognition Ceremony held on December 9, 2018.

A grand prize was awarded to each of the following recipients:

National Winner

In April 2019, one student placed third at the national level and has been forwarded to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) for international judging.

State Winners

After the exhibition at John Wayne Airport closed, all of the winning artwork was forwarded to compete at the state level. In February 2019, four Orange County students placed at the state level and have now advanced to compete at the national level in Washington, D.C.
